Pain Management massage is intended to ease your body from pain caused by emotional stress, repetitive stress on tissues, chronic pain of underlying pathological causes or pain due to decrease in mobility. In a clinical setting, with the cooperation of your physician, I can help you relieve the tension that is building up in your body.

           Frequently asked questions:

  • What is a clothes-on pain management clinical massage?

This type of massage is a complementary technique prior to or after a chiropractic work or as medically prescribed by your doctor to maintain a normal range of motion and release hypertonic tissues thus relieving pain on the areas of the body concerned. You don't have to take off your clothes. Regardless of your gender, I take extra care to respect your privacy and give you a feeling of security.

  • Will pain subside immediately after the massage?

Pain may subside but not instantly. After careful evaluation of the cause of the pain without diagnosis, massage manipulation is performed to relieve tensions and pain on the area concerned.

  • What is the stroke or technique utilized in pain management massage?

Stretching, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation are usually utilized. Some other massage strokes such as transverse cross fiber friction may also be performed depending on the condition of the affected area.

  • I have a medicare and health insurance that includes massage, can I charge my fee to the insurance company or medicare?

First of all, please be sure that your health condition necessitates incorporating massage in health management. Secondly, your doctor must give a prescription to my office stating your health condition and the necessary clinical massage applications to be executed. The last and most important, your health insurance must approve therapeutic massage as part of your overall health care.

  • How long is clinical massage performed?

It depends on the client condition. It can take as long as 10 minutes or even longer.

  • How much is the fee for this procedure?

The fee is $50 for new clients. Follow up cases, of which we term as maintenance, usually weekly or monthly visits will cost $70.

  • Will I be sure that I get proper evaluation so that my condition will improve?

I will network or consult with your private physician to provide you with my special optimum care. Specific attention is documented in your health record as to my assessment every time you visit my office.
